Finally today (May 21, 2006) am updating the pix taken during my Chinese New Year Break (1). Thought it would be apt to put it under this topic. Enjoy the pix; they were taken by Paul Lau (who happens to be one of the Kuroko who is helping at the Spastic centre.)

(If you think that we could not get enough of the leaf monkeys... think again when you see the other pix.)

(A regular but feared feature at the park - the Macaque - they sometimes tend to be aggresive especially if you ignore the signs that say do not bring food into the park.)
(There used to be so many of these fellows at the KSNP, unfortunately, on the day that we went, there weren't many. I used to work closely with Monitor Lizards, they helped to clean off the left over fish that were fed to the Milky Storks. Now that is another story - the sorry state that the aviary is in, I wonder what happened to the Milky Storks that we brought to KSNP from Zoo Negara as part of re-introducing the birds to their natural environment.)
(If I'm not mistaken, the Stork-billed Kingfisher is the biggest of the Kingfisher species. There were two side by side that took us by surprise that day, unfortunately by the time the camera went click - the other flew away.)

(The highlight of our trip - now you know why I got the name Otter Girl. The eight months of working at the park, I never had such close encounter with these shy, adorable creatures. We were so lucky that day and we have pix to prove it too.)
